The Harbor Drive Residence project scope was a complete overhaul of both the interior and exterior of a 3,200 square foot residence located on a quiet cove in Sag Harbor, NY. The exterior work gave a complete facelift to the building’s appearance, including all new cedar shake siding, doors and windows, wood decking, and a modern wire cable railing throughout. Given the property’s proximity to the harbor, we chose to place the living and dining areas on the second floor, which offers ample daylight and water views. The second floor’s fully open floor plan maintains sightlines and access to light throughout the layout. The first floor of the home is then utilized mainly for sleeping quarters, other than the home’s entryway and main vertical circulation space. The result is a cozy, modern retreat that offers the homeowner a coastal respite.
