Pseudonym Studio was founded in 2019 by 3 friends who share a love for whiskey tasting and beautiful, functional design. We are a multidisciplinary architecture firm and design studio who tackle projects with an open mind, holistic sensibility and keen eye towards details of all scales. Our unique perspective comes from a passion for research and material systems, while working in close concert with fabricators and craftsmen to create full and rich environments.

While beginning to work as a collective, we spent countless hours trying to decide what exactly we would name our joint venture. What could seem like a small detail, is the vital first impression to set your group apart. While brainstorming, we all could agree that this name needed to exemplify the creativity we bring to a project, and emphasize the team effort we so greatly stress rather than the individual. Through complete indecisiveness and burnout someone eventually said “hey, why don’t we just name ourselves Pseudonym; this way we’ll never actually have to name ourselves.” What started as an offhand comment, upon further examination actually made plenty of sense. This so precisely conveyed the start up, scrappy nature of our young design collective, not to mention the side hustle, nights-and-weekends work hours that our projects originally entailed. And voila, Pseudonym Studio was born!

A successful project begins with open ears and learning from you. We believe all design serves to solve a particular set of problems acting within a set of constraints. Our goal is to clearly identify what these problems are and address each one through a final design solution that beautifully conveys the vision and character of our client.
